Long and wide slopes, excellent services and bustling après-ski in the heart of Tyrol. The ski resort of Kitzbühel, located in the Austrian Alps, is a delight for any skier and snowboarder in search of quality snow, modern lifts and good atmosphere. Its 173 kilometers of runs for all levels run through three main sectors. Hahnenkamm offers varied runs for everyone, as well as the famous Streif descent, the most dangerous of the World Cup and the goal of many skiers who are looking for adventure in the snow. The Jochberg-Pass Thurn sector is famous for preserving the best snow in the area, while the Hörn area is surrounded by spectacular views, descents between forests and runs ideal for intermediates. Beginners can enjoy the runs located in lower levels of the resort, next to the town, or in the higher region of Hörn. The intermediates can glide easily along well-travelled kilometers. Experts can test their accuracy along the valley of death, in Ehrenbach, where five black runs meet. Snowboarders have a Fun Park with Quarter Pipe, Half Pipe and Boarder-Cross in the Kitzbüheler Horn. In between descents, you can stop to taste some typical tasty delicacies in the Hütten (wooden huts) arranged at the foot of the slopes. At dusk, you can stroll through the medieval center of the village of Kitzbühel and warm up with a delicious Glühwein (hot wine) in one of its après-ski bars, even with boots on and skis in hand.
