Modern, well equipped and with great quality snow in the heart of Valle d'Aosta. The ski resort of La Thuile (1,441m), located in the Italian Alps, offers slopes for all levels, with snowpark and possibilities for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowkiting, dog sledding and helicopter flights on the highest peaks in Europe. The resort is at its highest point on Mount Belverde, at an altitude of 2,641m, from where panoramic views of the Rutor glacier and Mont Blanc (4,810m), the highest mountain in Europe, can be seen. Together with its neighbouring resort of La Rosière, located in the French Alps, they form the ski domain of Espace San Bernardo, with access to skiing slopes that pass between spruce and alpine meadows, and meet at the Col Petit St. Bernard. It is a great ski region without borders where you can easily cross between France and Italy. Both La Rosière 1,850m (France) and La Thuile 1,441m (Italy) are quickly accessible by the Piccolo San Bernardo Express and Fourclaz Express. As it mainly consists of red and blue runs, it is a paradise for intermediates, but also beginners can enjoy easy green runs and there is also a lot for experts to explore. While the Italian sector offers more technical and sporting trails in the Aosta Valley, the French sector of La Rosière has long slopes and gentle descents, ideal for beginners and families looking for a safe area to learn in a sunny location. On the Italian side, snowboarders practice their acrobatics in the Wazamu snowpark, located in Les Suches, ideal if you want a challenge and have fun on the snowboard or skis to the rhythm of the best music. On the French side, you can also find a snowpark near the La Poletta chairlift with fun boxes, rails, handrails and big air.
