Adventure and excellent quality snow in the surroundings of Interlaken, in the Swiss Alps. The ski resort of Grindelwald is situated in the Bernese Oberland, the highest region of the canton of Bern, and belongs to the Jungfrau Ski Area domain. Together with the neighboring resorts of Wengen and Mürren-Schilthorn, it offers 213 kilometers of ski slopes for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Those who love cross-country skiing can enjoy the high mountain tranquility along marked trails and freeriders can discover descents, especially in glacier zone. The first sector is ideal for beginners who are looking for a safe environment along easy tracks and there is a special area with a speed limit. Creativity, enjoyment and freestyle are part of the day-to-day of snowboarders who want to discover the White Elements snowpark, located in the same sector and which has a half pipe and boardercross. The little ones feel at home in the Bodmi area, which you can reach by bus, and is ideal to start skiing with dedicated professionals. The more experienced skiers can enjoy the "First-Egg-Bort-Grindelwald" track 6 kilometers long and a ski slope of 1,118m. From the highest point of the resort, located at the top of Oberjoch at 2,500m, you can see mythical peaks of the region such as Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch around the Great Aletsch Glacier. Nevertheless, Grindelwald is especially famous for Jungfraujoch, known as the Rooftop of Europe, reaching 3,454m, with an observatory at the top. You can access this observatory via the highest railway line (Jungfrau Line) in Europe. At the foot of the resort lies the typically Alpine village of Grindelwald which offers all kinds of snow-related services and accommodation options for all budgets and requirements.
